The Highlands have many dentists.

There are a number of reasons why I like to live in Denver.  Denver is a fast growing city and is, in fact, the only city in the country to be in the top three each year for the past four years for relocation of 25-34 year olds.  This means that more and more people are moving to our city and we are becoming a great melting pot.  With all of the new movers here, it is important to make sure that we are taking care of the people that have lived here for a very long time.  One of the ways that we can do this is through dental care.  I think that there are a number of reactions people may have to dental care.  Everyone has had an experience, but it is important for people to recognize the importance.  For the people that are born into privilege it is something that you have to do on a regular basis.  For the people that rarely had access to dental care when they were growing up it was a luxury.  It needs to be a right that everyone should have access to – one way or the other.

dentistThere are a number of dentists in the Highlands that are working to improve conditions for individuals that may not have access to regular dental care. Through the development of different marketing plans, which allow for people to gain greater access to the dentists, as well as a number of materials in Spanish, dentists in the Highlands are looking at new ways of developing a keen understanding with the people that they serve.  Moving ahead, I think that many more dentists will start to look toward this pro bono work as a way that people, who have been traditionally underserved, can gain access to what I consider to be a basic health care need.

One of the ways that they are increasing access is through the development of materials and services to gain access to Spanish speaking populations that would not have access to braces.  What we do know is that braces are a great equalizer for many people.  It allows for people to improve their smile and as a result their earning potential.  A great way of making sure that people can have access to this sort of thing is through the introduction to a dentist is through that communication.  Many people do not think that they can afford a cosmetic dentists, even though it is a reality that they can obtain.  A great way to do this is through the introduction of offers that speak to those fears and develop an understanding to how individuals may want to work going forward.  I know that I would be looking to find a service that can explain to me how much I would have to spend through a period of readjustment.  I don’t necessarily want to know how much my braces are going to cost me on a day to day basis, but how much is everything going to cost in the end.

Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry is an excellent family dentist.

I remember my step sister was so afraid of the dentist. I am not sure why, I guess she had a lot of cavities as a little girl and the dentist she went to wasn’t the gentlest one. She just got so nervous before going to see him. I remember getting in trouble because I didn’t understand her fear and I teased her a little about it. I was certainly immediately straightened up by her mom.

Her mom and my dad ended up having a baby boy a few years later and they both realized that they wanted to find a better dentist for him since my step sister never seemed to get over her fear of dentists. So they started avidly looking for a dental office that would be kind, warm and welcoming to them. They wanted to find a place that understood children can be afraid of the dentist an they wanted to make sure the dentists there would even love their children and remember who they were for years.

Finally they came across Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry and decided they were be the absolute best pediatric dentist they could come across. They fit all of the needs that they wanted for their new born child. They understood the stress of going to the dentist and would everything in their power to make sure his experience would be a happy and enjoyable one versus a scary and traumatic one. They told them that they see children as their own and love them like family. This made my dad and my step mom so very happy. This was their last child ever and since they were older parents they really wanted to be intentional about the parenting choices they made. Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry definitely fit the bill when it came to positive and loving parenting. So they went ahead and made an appointment.

My step sister was so happy that our little brother would have a better dentist experience than she did. She went with him several times when he had appointments to offer him support but he never did need it because he was having such a good time there. The people at Southmoor really did understand and love children so there was never any fear dental officeof going there and having his teeth worked on. The whole family was pleased with the choice for our little brother to go to this dentist. In fact I think my step sister was even jealous of my little brother getting to go see the dentists at Southmoor who were so educated, experienced and loving to him. It didn’t stop there though. The staff was also exceptional and so kind and accommodating. They made sure that anyone who was with my little brother felt welcome and comfortable as well. The doctors made sure to communicated everything that was going on with my brother clearly and accurately to my dad and my step mom which they greatly appreciated. The office is warm, friendly and well-run. I will always suggest Southmoor to any one who is looking for a family dentist.

My Dentist Helped Me Feel Better About Myself

I stepped through the door and saw a familiar face immediately, Donna was behind the desk and she smiled and told me hello and that she was happy to see me again. I reciprocated the kind words as I approached the desk and I picked up a pen and signed in on the clipboard, I was right on time. Donna opened up her appointment book and told me, in a very happy tone of voice, that it looked like the day had finally come, then asked if I was excited. I replied that I was indeed and for the first time in a while, I didn’t feel self-conscience about my toothless grin because I knew that in a couple hours, I’d be well on my way back to a smile that I didn’t have to be ashamed of. After these dental implantsdental implants have been installed and I have a little time to heal, I’ll be looking great and feeling more confident about my life and my outlook than ever before. I’d made a lot of bad decisions in my life, starting at a young age, and I didn’t get sober and start to take life seriously until it was almost too late. I did a lot of damage to my mouth, teeth and gums during my long and painful relationship with methamphetamine and now I was paying the price, literally. This was the first time in my life that I actually had any structure of any kind and no matter what kind of structure it was, whether it was in a financial sense like keeping current on a payment plan I had setup or just having to get out of bed everyday at a certain time so I could get to work on time, was good for me. Like today for instance, it was my day off but I had to get up, take a shower, get dressed, walk to the bus stop and then walk a mile to my dentist office, so that all took a little bit of planning. It was really easy for me to lose focus now so I had to be very goal and task-oriented, I had several lists that I needed to remind myself on a daily basis, in different facets of my life, of the things that I needed to be doing in order to make sure that I’m making continual progress. My counselor thought that it was a good idea to focus on getting my mouth fixed once I got dental insurance because I’d be able to see literal progress, in the mirror, everyday, when I woke up and recommitted myself to getting my life back together. It was a struggle but my cosmetic dentist was as helpful as anyone, at this point in my life, at helping me reshape my emotional state by way of helping me fix my smile so I could build some confidence. This was all part of the overall process, of me becoming a responsible, contributing member of society who is capable of rebuilding a life for himself.
